Our congregation’s youth group strive to manifest the same pattern of receiving and giving God’s gifts which is at work in the life and worship of the congregation at large. The group begins with the study of God’s Word within the context of our Lutheran confession of faith. Group members also enjoy time of refreshment and fellowship by sharing in conversations, meals and fun group activities together under the supervision of group leaders.
Just as they receive God’s gifts through faith, they also give these gifts to their friends and neighbors. Our youth participate in a wide variety of service projects, ranging from our local “Serve Santa Maria” event to the congregation’s annual mission trip to Mexico. Our congregation uses the following age brackets to divide its youth groups and prepare programs for them based on the spiritual, intellectual, and social development of the participants.
